Daniel helps clients go from inception to implementation using his hands-on battery storage experience. Daniel is a Navy nuclear engineer and MBA who specializes in using predictive analytics and integrating financial models to create market advantages. He is the President of Fractal Business Analytics and balances roles between energy consulting (battery energy storage) and predictive analytics (real-time power trading). Formerly Daniel was the Operations Center Manager at Xtreme Power, where he directed the operation of 77 MW of energy storage across the world. While at Xtreme Power, he led the creation of the first power trading platform using battery energy storage.
Prior to Xtreme Power, Daniel completed his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin (full-time) while also working as a Financial Advisor for Edward Jones Investments.
He was a Surface Nuclear Propulsion Officer for the US Navy onboard the USS George Washington (CVN-73) and the USS Samuel B Roberts (FFG-58). While on the USS Samuel B Roberts, he was an Officer of the Deck and Communications Officer. Onboard the USS George Washington, he led a 25 man team that operated one of two billion dollar reactors and was also the Reactor Controls Division Officer for Reactor #1.
In his down time, he likes to read about emerging technologies, work on his golf game and train for competitive weight lifting. Daniel can also memorize a deck of cards in 6 minutes.
