Change has been a constant in José Antonio’s life. On January 2012 he moved from Nacional Financiera to the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and on September that same year he created Vive Energía, a renewable energy development company. He is the company’s Principal.
From December 2008 to January 2012, he held the position of Deputy General Director for Investment Banking at Nacional Financiera. During his term he was responsible of project finance in different sectors structuring more than US $1 billion in investments.
From 1998 to 2008 Mr. Aguilar worked in different energy companies (Enron, SUEZ GDF, Ecomex, Acciona), providing strategic direction and financial management of a very diverse portfolio, including natural gas transportation and distribution, cogeneration, combined cycle generation, compress natural gas and renewable energy.
Mr. Aguilar holds an Economics degree from ITAM and an MBA from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
