Senior Vice President & Chief Lending Officer – Plus International Bank, Miami, FL October 2001 to February 2009

Aided the President and C.E.O with the implementation of policy & procedure, and successfully grew the Bank from $10.0MM to low nine figures within the first two years of operations. Responsible for the development of a sound loan portfolio; assuring progressive loan growth, as well as compliance with established policy and procedure as called forth by the C.E.O. Was actively involved in new product development, and the roll-out of the same. Products included but were not limited to factoring, small business loans, working capital, commercial loans (real estate included), consumer loans as well as both pre and post export credit facilities. Managed a team of five people and served as liaison between Bank and Regulatory agencies during Bank examinations.

Senior Vice President & Manager, Corporate Lending & Trade Finance – The Hemisphere National Bank, Miami, FL
August 1996 to October 2001

Responsible for the transformation of a $30.0MM community bank into a “niche” player. Successfully established the Bank’s trade finance department; wrote policy and procedure, and obtained approval from Bank’s Director’s to formalize and implement the same. Inter-departmental and branch support were also required, assuring strict adherence to Bank’s aggressive performance and new business development goals. Reported directly to the C.E.O and was a member of the Bank’s Managerial and Strategic Committee. Managed a staff of seven people, including credit analysts.

Vice President, Commercial Lending & Trade Finance – PanAmerican Bank, Miami, FL July 1994 to August 1996

Reported directly to the Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, assisting the same in the establishment of commercial loan policy, procedures, objectives and the management of the bank’s loan portfolio. Branch and inter-departmental support was required.

Consultant, International Marketing – Miami, FL August 1991 to July 1994

Worked as a consultant for three years assisting local organizations in the development and implementation of international marketing strategy and risk mitigation.

Vice President, Commercial Lending – Southeast Bank – Miami, FL March 1988 to July 1991

Responsible for soliciting, developing and servicing a wide variety of commercial loans and lines of credit, both secured and unsecured for key bank clients. Managed a plethora of accounts assuring continuous profitability and adequate return on assets.

Commercial Lending Officer – Midlantic National Bank – Edison, NJ December 1985 to March 1988

Managed a 60 Million plus loan portfolio and developed new business of middle market scope. Counted with an unsecured lending authority of mid six figures.

Commenced banking career as a trainee. Successfully completed formal bank credit training.
