Business Development Manager, Wind Energy & Project Cargo, Port of Corpus Christi
Maggie Turner joined the Department of Business Development at the Port of Corpus Christi in June, 1995.
As Business Development Manager, Ms. Turner’s responsibilities include the development of a diversified cargo base by identifying, planning and executing business calls on current and potential users of the Port to solicit all types of cargos, with particular emphasis on Wind Energy and Project Cargo. Her scope of work encompasses trade with many different countries worldwide.
Ms. Turner is involved with numerous national and international entities focused on trade and transportation in an effort to qualify and secure cargo shipments through the Port. She also manages Port’s Tariffs 100-A and Bulk Terminal 1-A by monitoring the rates, rules, regulations and services provided by tariffs of other ports, which allows the maintenance of a competitive position for the Port of Corpus Christi.
Previous to joining the Port’s Business Development team, Ms. Turner spent over 25 years of her life in Mexico City, Mexico where she was a dedicated ESL teacher to children of all levels.
Originally from San Diego, California, Ms. Turner and her husband, Hank, are fond of the outdoor activities Corpus Christi has to offer. They have four daughters, one son and three grand-children.
